Thank you for sharing this good news with anyone who might find this worthwhile
TESTIMONIALS: Something that has resonated with me and my understanding of yoga from the Kids’ Yoga Training would have to be finding the balance between being playful and serious with the kids; when to encourage them and when to guide their train of thought to be more peaceful..learning how to control the real thoughts with the ego and not letting the ego get in the way of the truth. ~ Alexandra V., Vancouver I wanted to tell you how much I got from your workshop now two weeks ago. I woke up dreaming about it for a solid week! I had the songs all in my head and just felt so full of life. I even felt my feelings toward my children and toward my parenting responsibilities shift in a wonderful way. It was quite remarkable. I can't really do it justice with words and didn't fully appreciate how much the experience was reaching me when I was in it. ~ Marci Babineau, Montreal I would like to personally thank you for such a beautiful weekend. You are truly an inspirational woman. Thank you as well for being so kind to my kids, they had a wonderful time and already know all the words to the YOGA song, too sweet. ~ Carolyn Koziolek, Toronto I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful weekend workshop. It was very inspirational and helped me feel like I was going to find the path I needed. I really did walk out feeling refreshed, positive and excited to get my head and soul creating ideas for yoga and kids!! ~ Dana Crudo, Vancouver Through your multifaceted approach to teaching, you illuminate the special place within each of us where we are as we have always been. Reminding us that this flame of compassion, creativity and stillness is what unites us with each other and the whole universe, you weave song, science, movement, silence and voice into an experience that makes learning fun for all ages. ~ Patrice Webb, Vancouver “Thank you so much for offering this weekend’s workshop. It was a joy to meet you and to observe the laughter and love that you share with the children in your class. It was one of those experiences that I feel has truly opened my heart to be more a loving, patient and compassionate person. My heart feels like I shed an old outer layer and am feeling shiny, new and golden. I do not recall having laughed so much since I was a child. I dropped my inhibitions and felt free of all the years of social conditioning. The group work reminded that I still have a lot of work to do with my ego. I will remember what you said and not let my ego’s reaction dictate my follow up action. On top of all of this, I also feel that I have learned more about the breath, bandahs and teaching asanas than ever before. Thank you, Maalaa, for sharing your knowledge.” ~ Julie Fournier, N. Vancouver “That was one of the best yoga workshops I’ve ever taken! Thank you………you are such an inspiration to me, really. I used the CD at class last week, we did guru hops and savasana was better than ever. We are so blessed to have teachers like you in our lives. Thank you and Namaste”. ~ Dhana “My mind has just been buzzing with ideas and I've just been filled with inspiration as I begin to work on my programs for the summer. Yesterday I went to my volunteer work in a grade 3 class and did some yoga with the kids. We talked about and experienced our inner/outer eyes, how our bodies let us do things, and also trees - we made willow trees, oaks, palms, fruit trees, cedars etc. and swayed in the wind, dug our roots. Then we discussed what the trees need to live (earth etc.) and how we also need those things and how that inner space we explored is connected to all of it, and how our inner space is always there unchanging etc. And you know Maalaa, you could just see and feel most of the kids really getting it and loving it!! So thank you so much.” ~ Kristina Wilkes THANK YOU for your amazing work with the children yesterday. Ekko just couldn't stop talking about it and then wanted to show us all the poses she learned when she returned home. It's amazing how much they retain from just one session! ~ Diana Bonder, mom It was amazing to see how the children memorized the catchy songs Maalaa had taught about Love, Patience and Focus. Not only the kids but Moms in the grocery line up singing and laughing the “patience” song. Kids using actions while in the playground to communicate with other kids. I think our Community benefits from yoga and Maalaa’s little tunes; they are useful reminders to be used daily.” Thank YOU for the gifts Maalaa ~ Josée Velsen
